  12 March 2004:
Carmen Operations Control goes live at Aeroméxico

On the 1st of March Carmen Fleet Control went live at Aeroméxico, after one month of parallel production. This is the first of three deliveries that also will include Passenger Recovery and Crew Control, thereby providing an integrated operations control system.

According to Arturo Byrd, VP Heavy Maintenance Planning & Supply Chain at Aeroméxico, “We expect a great deal from the integrated operations control system from Carmen. The fleet control system provides us with recovery options within a minute for even the biggest disruptions. The introduction of the passenger solver, due soon, will allow us to prioritize premium passengers. The advantage this gives us will be used in our marketing towards our frequent flyers.”

The installation project will be completed. before summer when the Crew Control system is taken into production. ‘The production taking at Aeroméxico is a beginning of a new era for Carmen, but also for the airline industry,” says Carmen’s CEO Per Norén. “It shows that it is possible to introduce optimization in the everyday work at operations control – and to make it work for the integrated recovery of aircraft, passengers and crew.’
