  Carmen Systems joins Jeppesen
 
 

The Boeing Company concluded its purchase of Carmen Systems June 14, 2006. Carmen has merged into Jeppesen's Commercial & Military Aviation business unit. All of Jeppesen's planning, scheduling, optimization and disruption management business will be led by Per Norén (Carmen Systems' former CEO).

With this purchase, Carmen Systems becomes part of Jeppesen, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Boeing Commercial Aviation Services. Jeppesen will fully integrate, support and grow Carmen’s businesses.

Carmen Systems, headquartered in Göteborg, Sweden, has approximately 340 employees. It also has significant operations in Australia and Canada.

A unit of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Commercial Aviation Services is a highly customer-focused organization. Through technical customer support, material management, maintenance services, fleet enhancements and flight operations, the organization provides products, services and integrated solutions to 900 airlines and 150 Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul facilities worldwide.
