| 8 March 2004: Rave at Alitalia |
|||||
After a successful case study performed at the beginning of 2003, Alitalia has decided to use Carmen’s modelling language Rave, in their in-house scheduling system for cabin crew. Carmen’s Global Services division performed the case study together with Alitalia’s Operations Research team and continues to assist Alitalia in taking Carmen Rave fully into production in their scheduling system by July 2004. Beniamino Paoletti, Information Systems Operational Research Manager at Alitalia said that the project has had some very good results. "We are very pleased with the performance of Carmen Rave and the flexibility it will give us when handling changes and doing scenario planning for our cabin crew planning. The joint cooperation between the Alitalia Operations Research team and Global Services guaranteed the success of the case study and vouch for an equally successful project of taking Carmen Rave fully into production at Alitalia," said Beniamino Paoletti.
