I work as a project manager in Operations at Carmen. My job is to run implementation projects in close co-operation with clients, customizing our products to their needs.

I really enjoy working with Rave, which is an easy-to-use modelling language. I have a background as a modelling engineer and I try to program as much Rave as possible, even as a project manager, as it's so much fun.

Another great aspect of the job is that I get to see the world since a lot of my work is done on-site. I have been to Alitalia, Rome, Aeromexico and Mexico City many times. Currently my home away from home is SJ based in Sweden's beautiful capital, Stockholm. For me it's important to focus strongly on delivering what the client wants, and ensuring that my clients are happy.

Why Carmen?
I studied Computational linguistics, which is where I got my programming skills. Carmen was not only looking for a technician but also for a technician with linguistic and social skills, someone who enjoys working just as much with people as computers. The problems that Carmen's products solve are problems you can understand and relate to, so it's important for me to understand why a product is needed and why it makes a difference to peoples' lives. I feel that way about Carmen's products. Carmen also has a strong client focus and that is how I think it should be. What I also like is the multicultural atmosphere and all the friendly and helpful people. You really get to understand other cultures by working with clients and colleagues from other countries.
