Technical Account Services Specialist -  New York

This non-management position is responsible for providing day to day account management and product support to our commercial aviation customers. Our New York office provides top-notch service to crew scheduling and tracking operations throughout the U.S. and Mexico.

Essential Functions
We are seeking a savvy technical professional who knows Unix, Windows Server, and multi-tier client-server applications and is excited about working directly with our external customers. Our ideal candidate will be skilled in:

  • Diagnosing, researching, and resolving customer application problems
  • Interfacing with customer business leaders and IT management
  • Comprehending product functionality and user application
  • Identify potential revenue opportunities by establishing solid rapport and credibility with customers directly as well as virtually
  • Serving as a liaison to internal implementation, product development, and sales teams
  • Analyzing product configuration, Python & shell scripts for troubleshooting
  • Error reproduction in a technical environment
  • Document, track, and monitor open ticket items
  • Delivering on-call application support and service

Education/Experience
Previous experience in software development, technical product management, systems administration, or database administration is essential. The ability to communicate effectively to gain support from others and relay technical concepts to a non-technical audience is required. A keen sense for taking initiative and learning is also important to the success of this position.

A Bachelor´s degree in Computer Science and a minimum of 2 years related work experience is required. Previous work in the airline industry is a plus!

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Working knowledge of Unix, Linux, and/or Windows Server
  • Familiarity with SQL and Shell Scripting
  • Knowledge in MQ Series and Oracle is preferred
  • Strong technical & analytical aptitude
