This course addresses non-planners (managers, rave/report programmers,
system administrators etc.) who are interested in a thorough introduction
to the Carmen Crew Rostering and Preferential Bidding System, without
going into planning process details. Planners who will use the system
as a production tool should attend the course Basic Crew Rostering/PBS
with Carmen.
The course gives you an introduction to the Carmen Crew Rostering and
Preferential Bidding System. After completing the course you will have
a thorough understanding of the system: its features, possibilities and
limitations. Special focus is on the system's handling of concepts such
as preferential bidding, fairness, training etc, as well as on the system's
impact of the planning process.
No prerequisites are required for this course.

Copies of overhead slides, exercises with solution suggestions, and relevant
manuals will be handed out at the course.
All exercises are done using a generic flight data and rule set ("Carmen
Airlines").
The course fee is 6000 SEK per person.
