It takes a clear vision to build a great company. At Carmen our vision is simple - we know that we are striving to become the best resource optimization solutions provider to the transportation industry. And we are on our way to accomplishing that. I see three very important principles in this evolving journey.

Creating customer value: At Carmen we have always focused significantly on creating customer value in everything we do. On the back of this we have chosen a business model based upon long-term rental agreements with our clients. This partnership ensures that we will stay best of breed and requires us to deliver improved solutions to our clients annually. This is a key piece of the puzzle in our quest for excellence. We are passionately focused on driving customer success.

Company culture:We have created a very strong company culture based on certain true values. Pride, passion and partnership are the three words that underpin our way of doing business. The Carmen Personality: pride in one's work and company; a passion for finding results and solutions. And most important of all, being partners, working together as a team with our clients.

Change power:To build technological expertise and leadership is our raison d'ĂȘtre. No matter who you are and what part of the transportation business you are in, there is a whirlwind of change heading towards you. I do not believe anyone will have the choice of avoiding it. The best way to stay ahead of the technology whirlwinds is to change them yourself. That's what we are doing and all of it is based upon our unique ability to develop the world's leading resource optimization applications before the whirlwinds arrive.

Carmen's mantra lies within "Focus and deliver". Our first goal is to be No 1 solutions provider of Crew and Fleet Management solutions for the airline industry. The success lays within being able to recruit and retain excellent people to deliver these solutions. For me "being number two is being the best of the losers."

I believe that great software empowers organizations to change. It helps them control their resources. This is for me the key to the future for airlines and other large transportation organizations. Companies have stay flexible for constantly appearing changes. If we try to hide in our corporate shells and hope that everything will go away we will commit suicide. There are always tools that can help a company find solutions, but you need to start the change first. The tools are just one part of the change process. For the airline and transport industries optimization is the force that will make it possible to handle change, and turn problems into opportunities. And as for Carmen I see us as being the ones providing you with the relevant tools, concepts and people to do just that. It's simple - it's all about optimization.
