Use the graphic user interface to view changed rosters, illegal rosters and uncovered production. The user can always see the difference between the current rosters, the roster as it is understood by the crew member and the original published roster. Changes, such as new activity codes, new activities or changed flights are easy to see.
 
Solve
It is possible to build rosters interactively or use the optimizer for repair suggestions. Automatic legality controls are carried out during all roster manipulations. It is also possible to override or relax quality rules in a controlled manner. When repairing rosters with the optimizer the user can imitate important working patterns from the published rosters (e.g. similar block times, similar check-in times, the same layovers and preservation of granted crew requests). The optimizer can address many problems in the solution, and strives to minimize the total number of affected crew.
 
Evaluate
All reports available in Carmen Crew Rostering for evaluating costs, quality, stability, fairness and requests are available. The reports contain additional information on how changes are distributed. Roster changes are also easy to see directly on the screen.
 
Communicate
Even though a solution is known internally by the planning department, the external publication can be postponed until a critical date is reached. This makes it possible to respond rapidly to changes, with minimum disturbance to the organization. When the changes are published, hotel rebookings, flight tickets and meal loading can be dealt with automatically.
