This course addresses experienced Day of Operations Controllers with
little or no knowledge of the Carmen Integrated Operations Control
System (IOCS). The course also serves as a prerequisite for the Carmen
Fleet Control and Carmen Passenger Recovery courses.
The course gives you a thorough introduction to IOCS. After completing the course you will be able to:
- Understand the philosophy behind the Carmen IOCS.
- Use the Carmen IOCS to monitor the flight operation of an airline.
- Resolve the automatically generated operational alerts by doing direct changes to the flight operation.
- Create disruption scenarios with the IOCS GUI and work out manual recovery options to these disruptions scenarios.
Familiarity with manual recovery of the flight schedule on the day of operation.
