An aircraft flight is often covered with a number of different pairings since cockpit and cabin crew are subject to different rules, costs, and constraints. Minimizing direct crew costs can lead to pairings with very little teaming, i.e. many crew changes. We describe an integrated approach that dynamically adds crew change constraints to produce low cost solutions with high teaming.
